I can't move!!

The all too familiar feeling of college 2 a-days is upon me. It hurts when I cough, I can barely get out of the car, and yet my teammates pushed and inspired me so much tonight at Gymnastics Olympica that during the entire 2 hour workout I felt no soreness, no pain. Now that I am sitting in front of my c0mputer I am acutely aware of every muscle and I am wondering how I'm going to get out of bed and train tomorrow. There are goals to be reached and fun to be had... that is how.

Tonights training breakdown (personal highlights):

CORKS... I threw quite a few tonight but they still need a lot of work.

DOUBLE FLYAWAYS... They are feeling pretty solid. I don't feel ready to take it outside yet but that time is near.

JAYWALKER STYLE QUAZIMOTO... It's not quite all the way there, but thanks to Jaywalker I understand it totally now. My old way of doing it is completely different, and is a much harder landing on your body. The way Gabe does it, he floats and the landing is soft! A few more training sessions and I'll be ready to take it outside.

STANDING GAINER FULL... I am very proud of myself that I allowed Showtime and Jaywalker to make me throw it. I would not have gotten out of my comfort zone otherwise. Their positive energy and beleif in me is so inspiring.

Day two of the vegetable clease is going well. Although I trained twice today, my energy level stayed impresively high.

TEMPEST FREERUNNING BITCHES!!!!!

Let's do this!!

With an amazing 2009 behind me I am thrilled with the high expectations for Tempest Freerunning in 2010. We have a ton of new goals and projects in the works and it is all up to us to make these things happen. So I guess it's appropriate to put out there my new year's resolutions:

1) Get in the best shape of my life! I will do that by having fun with training, always pushing myself to get better and to reach my full potential as a freerunner. I am the only one holding myself back and I want to break free and enjoy my training to the fullest. I am so fortunate to be a part of one of the best freerunning teams in the world and I am going to take full advantage and represent as best as I can.

2) Healthy eating! I slack on this sometimes. It's so easy to get caught up in the parties, going out to eat and not making healthy choices. I'm going to be diciplined and do what is best for my body. My mom bought me a juicer for Christmas so I am going to take full advantage of it. Eating healthy is a decision and a life style. I want to be able to do the sport I love as long as possible. The healthier and better shape I'm in, the longer I'll be able to do it.

3) Dedicate as much time as possible to the continued growth of Tempest! I want to get our team out there as much as possible and to continue to live the dream of being a professional freerunner with my teammates by my side. I have high hopes and dreams for our team and we are the only ones who are going to make it happen. Work hard and work smart.

I have more, but I just got home from seeing Avatar 3D and it is 2:30am. I'm exhausted but I can't wait for tomorrow so I can start setting team goals in motion. One step at a time. And remember... "Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain"
